Dirigo 3 Eye Ranger - Purposefully Designed and Crafted

A classic Rancourt pattern, remade in waxy commander leather in driftwood, unlined for a lighter feel and a faster break-in. Finished with a Vibram Arctic Grip sole — engineered for traction on ice and wet ground — leather laces, and brass, nickel-finished eyelets. Made from surplus and discontinued leathers and soles , nothing wasted, and the savings are passed on to you. True moccasin construction. Handcrafted in Maine, one of a kind.

Great color hybrid shoe

I wanted a medium-tone shoe to pair with light pants - mostly summer. The color on these is excellent. grey/khaki that looks terrific with light pants and a dark polo.

My only issue/question is the sole choice. It's a very solid winter sole, good for snow and ice. Why put that on a 3-season shoe? I like the firmness on the three-eyelet shoe. But perhaps a softer Vibram sole would have been optimal. I cannot see myself wearing this in snow and ice. That said, I do like this shoe. Perhaps it will break in over time and become a favorite.
